A Place to Meet Do and Enjoy
Who we are.
We are local people who want to meet others; do something together; avoid loneliness and have a bit of company and fun every Monday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm in the church.
What we do.
The main thing we do is provide a safe, warm and friendly space for people of all ages and abilities and disabilities. Tea and biscuits are always available. Dee, Barbara and their helpers will give you a warm welcome, and then it is up to you whether you would like to try any of the activities on offer.
What does it cost?
Nothing! We value you more than your cash!
But, we give you the opportunity to make a totally voluntary contribution whenever you are able. All our group leaders give their time and talents freely. The church only asks us to pay for heat and light if we have something left in the kitty.

Activities
Watercolour Painting
Try your hand at watercolour painting, either reviving an old skill or starting from scratch. Brian will be there to help and encourage.
Crafting
Judy and Shirley will guide you in making a card for that special person or event. Margaret will knit or crochet with you, and everyone on the large friendly craft table will welcome you.
Family History
If tracing your family tree is something you would like to do, George is a fount of knowledge and with his live online access he can help you with your search.
Gentle Exercise
Need to keep those joints from stiffening up? Donna will guide you professionally and gently through some chair-based movement, 1.30pm-3pm
Games and Jigsaw Puzzles
If you enjoy games we have dominoes and scrabble available and plenty of jigsaw puzzles to challenge you! We also play mini carpet bowls, with Pete on hand to guide the novice!
Elderberries Brass Group
Meeting in the hall, the Brass Group is led by John and Sally and is made up of novices to experienced players. Everyone is welcome to have a go, even if you have never played an instrument before.
Folk Singing
Steve will lead us in song in the Church Hall 2pm - 3pm. Beginners are very welcome!
Friendship
Friendship is important to us, so we have occasional special events for everyone on a Monday afternoon.
