
Leeds (East) Food Bank at Christmas
The team would like to give every family a special FOOD PARCELS for Christmas…they are looking to prepare about 150 parcels.
Food items include:

box of mince pies
-
some cake, e.g. chocolate logs or mini rolls, fruit cake

a tin of ham (own brands, Olde Oak, Pek, etc, worth approx. £2)

a tin of fruit cocktail, or similar fruit
-
savoury snacks or crisps
-
fancy biscuits, e.g. shortbread, chocolate biscuits
-
sweets or chocolates
TOYS
-
Toys/crafts for all ages, ideally brand new and in original packaging if possible.

Babies and toddlers are easier to buy for

Suggestions for older age groups include - Lego, games (UNO, top trumps, etc.), craft kits, fancy stationery, pens, gel, felt tips, etc.
CASH DONATIONS are also welcome, as the organisers can top up where there are shortages.

Our local shop, Scholes Super Store on Station Road. The third aisle has lots of items that would be ideal, and there is a box in the shop you can leave your purchase in!

Christmas items should ideally be handed in by December 11th as they have to be delivered to the foodbank on the 13th
